Education

Dr. Judy Hobson Toney, DO, is board certified in family medicine with a specialized passion for the integration of complementary and alternative approaches culminating in the original “Ageless Health” — A fusion of alternative and traditional family care.

Dr. Toney received her Bachelor of Science from the Northern Arizona University in 2000 followed by medical education and osteopathic training at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona in 2004. She then completed her internship at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona and finished her residency in family medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona in 2007.  Dr. Toney has since then spent her time practicing urgent care and traditional family medicine in Colorado, joining the Mountain Medical Care Team in 2016 to bring valuable natural alternatives to for you!

Advanced Training

Dr. Toney was raised in the south by parents far ahead of their time in health and medicine. Her father was a doctor with unparalleled bedside manner and a persistent passion for medicine and education. Her mother was a pioneer of nutrition in a time when sugar cookies and twinkles prevailed, which at the time she resented for being “healthy” all the time while all the other kids got to have “fun” food. Little did she realize the profound influence these early times would have in shaping her future medical career.

As a young adult Judy lived in Sedona, Arizona where she was exposed to several unique modalities of health and healing. She was trained in the chakras, channeled by spiritual guides, bathed in energetically healing waters, and surrounded by the incomparable beauty of Sedona’s nature.

During medical school, she took several opportunity to work rotations on the Hopi and Navajo native lands where she learned even more about alternative healing. Sweat lodges, ceremonies, healing herbs and minerals from traditional healers all taught her that the best medicine is not necessarily written in books and included on board exams.

Dr. Toney currently lives in Erie with her husband and children. She enjoys rock climbing, ultra running, biking, hiking, and kayaking.  She loves to be outside in Colorado, enjoying all that the beautiful state has to offer and has discovered for herself the bountiful pleasure and healing that nature can provide.

Dr. Toney has developed a firm foundation in the belief that true health and well-being are derived from a variety of sources and that a combination of physical, emotional, and spiritual health is imperative for overall well-being. Her mission is to provide healthcare that is accessible and fun for all ages, so that every client can feel good, starting at any age, and continue to age in a way that is healthy.
